X-PLY CANOPY
SUPERWING X comes from the development of wings over the past three years and the conclusion that if we wanted higher performance, we needed to use higher performance materials.
We began working with the leading X-PLY manufacturer to create a thinner, lighter and more durable X-PLY material specifically designed for the SUPERWING X.
X-PLY is stiffer, stronger and has virtually no stretch compared to conventional wing material. This provides a ride that you have never experienced before when flying. The entire platform is much stiffer with barely any flutter even when the wing is flown in neutral making it the most stable and quiet experience you will ever experience.
Wingsurfing will never be the same again.

Designing the SUPERWING X with X-PLY felt like a dream. The fantastic stiffness of the material means that we can finally surf with a wing that is extremely close to the intended 3d design.'
The Triax fabric allows me to adjust my panel layout to address exactly how the stresses are distributed throughout the wing. My goal this past year with wings has been to gain efficiency, control, stability and reduce flutter as much as possible. I really think it's wrong to have a wing that looks like a flag in the air every time you drive with de-power or when you fly in neutral. With regular canopy material I worked on adding more and more tension stitches to my patterns and the wings have gotten much better, but I still couldn't eliminate flutter 100%. You can also still feel the profile deformation when wingsurfing.
So a stiffer material like X-ply was the natural progression. I first used existing windsurfing X-PLY, but they were way too heavy and the weight totally outweighed the benefits. So I worked with our manufacturer to use the 1mil technology that they used on some of their high performance sailboats, and combined with Triax X-PLY that would give me total control over the load spread. I am so excited about the result that I can't wait any longer to share this design with the world!Key Features

The use of X-PLY would not have been possible without our patent pending FOLDSTRIP which allows the wing to be carried in a small bag. FOLDSTRIP allows the wing to be folded in half flush with the canopy material strip and then rolled to prevent folds on the X-PLY.EVOLUTIONARY AR
Aspect ration evolves along with each size. Larger sizes have a lower AR for a shorter wingspan and better low power, while smaller sizes have a slightly higher AR for superior advanced control and speed. Gives a very direct answer because the back of the strut is directly connected to the wing canopy. The recess at the level of the handle allows for a short handle that still leaves plenty of room for your hands, so you can have a very direct control of the wing, while keeping your hands keeps the wing in a comfortable position.RIGID AND SOFT HANDLES – Adds control and comfort
Wide handles to easily adjust your position and switch to wind strength. The inner core makes the handle rigid, and it is covered with a soft and comfortable sleeve made of a grippy, abrasion-resistant canvas.TRIPLE LAYER LE – Stiffer front edge for increased efficiency
A third layer of dacron in the center of our Leading Edge adds extra stiffness to your wing for minimal deflection under load, resulting in a more direct feel and a more efficient wing overall.9MM SINGLE PUMP HOSE – Faster inflation of cone and discharge valve for quick emptying.
The hose and drain valve are located at the front of the cone, which acts as a lock for the cone bladder to prevent unwanted movement when the wing is deflated.
